The tale of the cape and the collar...

My old school friend the beautiful Stephanie Haines has just come to visit me in Wien and of course many fun times were had and stylish clothes donned.....

Saturday 13th March: We began her stay in the not so classy surroundings of McDonalds at Praterstern U-Bahn (my first since ive been here....), before heading out via the last U-Bahn to some recommended bars including the Lutz bar and the Tanzcafe Jenseits which being a former brothel is tucked away down a little side street. The bar itself was sehr atmospheric and definately deserves another visit!!!

For the occasion we donned topshop, vintage, red lips and big warm winter coats for walking between bars!

A hungover Sunday 14th March saw us taking a brisk walk up to the cafe at the top of Schonbrunn Palace to consume cakes and coffees. The cold, biting wind soon saw our heads clear... By evening we headed to my favourite Italian and then to the cine for a viewing of 'Men Who Stare at Goats'.

Big warm winter coats, scarfs, hats and sensible shoes were in order for the day! Steph's beautiful coat is from Whistles, beret Accessorise, and scarf mine. My coat is vintage from Backlash in Notts, scarf from Gap and hat Beyond Retro in London.

Monday 15th March saw me bravely donning my beautiful purple cap which I purchased pre coming out to Wien at Backlash, Notts. The day saw us on a vintage shop hunt and popping in for obligiatory coffee and cakes at a lovely Viennese Cafe, The cafe Speil. By night we visited the Europa and were impressed by our 1.60 euro tumblers of wine, the bohemian atmosphere and the random poker playing out the back! We stumbled accross another gem of the bar 2 doors down and were promtly handed a free shot of incredibly strong pear schnapps by the long grey haired bar man, and ordered little joe cocktail/ shots. Before heading home with our heads spinning!

By day we wore vintage and Topshop. By night Steph was wearing dress by H&M and I collar and lacy waistcoat which were new purchases from the uber cool Big Joes Gang-Shop.
